Croatia enjoys a highly developed viticultural tradition, enabling its people to recognise and enjoy quality wines.

Viticulture dates back to 6th century B.C. in the coastal regions and back to 2nd century A.D. in the continental region

 

Grapevine production in the Republic of Croatia is regulated through the geographical areas of the Republic of Croatia divided into zones, regions, subregions, vineyards and vineyards.

Division into regions and subregions
The geographical area of grapevine production of the Republic of Croatia is divided into three regions:

Eastern continental Croatia
West continental Croatia
